Reston’s Two Farmers Markets Run Into Late November: Lake Anne and Halley Rise

Two markets, one weekend

For most of Reston’s history, the farmers market meant one place. Since March 2026 it means a choice. Saturday mornings belong to the long-running market on the plaza at Lake Anne. Sunday mornings belong to the newer EatLoco market at Halley Rise, near the Reston Town Center Metro station.

Because the hours barely overlap, you can do both in one weekend. With both seasons ending the weekend before Thanksgiving, the remaining Saturdays and Sundays in November are the last chances until spring.

Nov. 21 and Nov. 22: the last scheduled market days of 2026, a Saturday at Lake Anne and a Sunday at Halley Rise.

Saturdays at Lake Anne

The Reston Farmers Market sits at 1609 Washington Plaza N, on the plaza by the lake. The Fairfax County Park Authority lists the 2026 season as Saturdays, April 25 through November 21, from 8 a.m. to noon.

The county’s page has a vendor listing by market date, which is worth checking before you go because lineups change week to week. Parking is available along North Shore Drive, and there is a nearby lot with a short walk down to the plaza.

One rule to know before you load the car: for health and safety reasons, the county’s markets do not allow pets, except service animals. If you want a lakeside walk afterward, the Reston lakes guide covers Lake Anne and the other three lakes.

Sundays at Halley Rise

The Halley Rise market opened March 29, 2026, and it is EatLoco’s first Fairfax County location, according to FFXnow. It runs Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Halley Rise lots near Reston Parkway and Sunrise Valley Drive, and local listings show the season ending November 22.

Parking in the outdoor lots is free, and the market is within walking distance of the Reston Town Center Metro station, per Northern Virginia Magazine. Vendor counts in spring reporting ranged from about 50 at launch to more than 60 lined up, so expect a large market with produce, baked goods and prepared food. Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome here.

How to plan a market weekend

Go to Lake Anne when you want the plaza, the water and a smaller, neighborly market. Go to Halley Rise when you want a bigger spread, free surface parking or room to bring the dog. Both wrap up by early afternoon, so mornings are the time.

If you are coming from elsewhere in Northern Virginia, the Silver Line makes Halley Rise an easy trip. Our Reston Metro commute guide explains how the stations connect to the neighborhoods around them, and the Reston events calendar lists what else is happening on weekends.

What this means for Reston homeowners

Markets like these are part of the everyday routine that never shows up on a listing sheet. Lake Anne is Reston’s original village center, and Halley Rise is part of the newer growth around the Metro. Having a market at each says something about how the old and new parts of Reston are growing side by side.

If you are weighing which part of Reston fits your weekends, the Reston neighborhood guide compares the villages, and if you already own here, you can check what your home is worth with the Reston home value tool.

Sources and reporting limits

Dates and hours are as published in October 2026 and can change or cancel for weather. Vendor lineups change weekly, and Halley Rise vendor counts come from spring reporting. Check each market’s own page before you go.
