McLean Regulars Through the Year
- McLean Day (May): the McLean Community Center’s festival at Lewinsville Park, with carnival rides, food trucks, a marketplace and the MCC Governing Board election. In 2026 parking at the park was not available, and Fairfax Connector ran free shuttles.
- McLean Farmers Market (May to October): Fridays, 8 a.m. to noon, at Lewinsville Park. Fairfax County’s markets are producer-only, so vendors sell what they grow or make.
- The Alden Theatre (year-round): a 383-seat theater inside the McLean Community Center that presents touring music, comedy, dance, film and local productions, including the McLean Community Players.
- The Old Firehouse Center: the McLean Volunteer Fire Department’s former station, opened in 1948 and later converted by the community center into a teen center; it hosts seasonal events such as Trunk or Treat.
- Holiday season: the Antiques Show in November and the Holiday Art and Crafts Festival in early December at the community center.

McLean Day is held each May at Lewinsville Park. In 2026 it was Saturday, May 16, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with carnival rides the evening before. The 2027 date has not been announced.

What is the Alden Theatre?
