The FY 2027 Budget
The Conservancy’s October 2026 newsletter lists the budget schedule: committee and cluster budgets due Oct. 30, a trustees’ working session Nov. 3, a community budget presentation and adoption of the FY 2027 budget at the Nov. 16 board meeting (7:30 p.m. on Zoom), and assessment letters to all homeowners by Nov. 24, 2026. We will update this page when the 2027 assessment is adopted.
Pools and the Oaks Pool Rebuild
The Conservancy runs five pools from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. A reopening date has not been published.
What to Know Before Buying in Burke Centre
- Read both budgets: the resale certificate should show the general assessment, the cluster assessment and any special charges for the exact home.
- Check cluster reserves: the Conservancy posts cluster balance reports; ask how the cluster plans for repairs to its own common areas.
- Exterior changes need approval: the Architectural Review Board reviews exterior changes under the 2026 Architectural Standards and runs an inspection program; ask whether past changes to the home were approved.
- Parking and towing: the Conservancy has a parking and towing policy, and some clusters have their own parking plans.
- Private or public streets: some Burke Centre streets are maintained by VDOT and others are private; the Conservancy publishes a street list by cluster.
