The Reston Association is the glue that holds Reston together, giving residents assurance that living in Reston is the best experience possible! Guidelines and Covenants

When making internal or external changes to your property in Reston, there are many guidelines and covenants in place to help maintain a high aesthetic standard. To streamline the process of making renovations or improvements to your property, contact a Covenant Advisor. Covenant advisors are available by appointment to meet with owners and contractors to help plan changes that adhere to Reston’s protective property covenants. Every Reston homeowner should be familiar with the association website, which includes scores of useful information. Homeowners can pay assessments and fees, obtain resale disclosure documents, and learn about future development plans and approved development projects in Reston.

Amenities

With 15 pools52 outdoor tennis courts (26 lighted), and a kids camp program, the Reston Association offers something for all residents.

The association maintains more than 1,300 acres of open spaces, with 800 acres of woodlands, 4 lakes, 4 wetlands, 3 ponds, 50 meadows and 20 miles of streams. TheWalker Nature Center has educational and recreation programs including Bird Walks, Ranger Camp for 6-9 year olds, Preschool and Elementary Nature Programs, and a Babes in the Woods toddler program. The Walker Nature Center also has a Nature House, one mile of loop trails, picnic tables and a pavilion. 

 The association also maintains several soccer, baseball and softball fields and the RV Central Park Storage Program, available for all Reston Association members to store their recreational vehicles, trailers, boats and canoes. 

Facility Rentals

Reston residents have several properties available to them for rental for special events. In addition to several picnic pavilions, residents can choose from the Glade Room, Brown’s Chapel, the Walker Nature Center, the Lake House sponsored by Comstock, and the Conference Center for private or company parties and events.
